Whether you RV full-time, part-time, or some-time, we could all use a little help, inspiration, and comradery. When we first hit the road in our RV, we were total newbies and longed for advice and support.
We discovered great advice through RV organizations, but found support and tidbits through blogging. The social engagement and friendships forged added a depth of enjoyment to our RV travels as well as our lives.
We started off part-time RVing in our new 5th wheel back in 2011 and fell in love with RVing. Each return trip home was done so reluctantly. I started reading blogs, blogs about folks RVing full-time.
The thought of full-time RVing wasn’t even a glimmer in our eyes until we connected with several RVer’s that blogged and shared their journey.
After a four-month excursion during which we met several RV bloggers in person, we once again returned to the sticks and bricks home reluctantly, and on a whim, we decided to sell the house and move into the RV full-time. That was back in June of 2013.
Al and I learned a lot over those years of full-time RVing, and it wasn’t always easy or fun. Nope, the RV life is not all rainbows and unicorns.
I love my RV blog community. The sharing of the ups, downs, ins and outs of RV travel help all of us find our way.
Living a nomadic lifestyle can be lonely and uncertain. With the constant changing of people and places, the one area I counted on was the online community that I engaged with regularly. I had the privilege of meeting many of these cyber friends in person and even developed life long friendships in the process.
I used to share the blogs I follow, but the list is forever changing and difficult to keep updated especially when many abandon their social media accounts altogether. And then there are the folks I follow on Instagram and YouTube. The list of social media accounts that I engage with is long and therefore not practical to list here.
True friends are never apart, maybe in distance but never in heart!
If you’d like to find some great blogs to follow, be sure and check out the comments on any of my posts. I have a very engaging community from all walks of life with varying interests. Most times, all you have to do is hover over their icon or name and with a simple click you’ll be on your way to their site. It’s a great way to increase your sphere of cyber engagement, meet new friends, and grow your own audience. Please note, not all commenters are linked to a site or blog.
I hope my travel tales and photographs serve as inspiration for you to set off on your own adventures. If nothing else, I hope I’ve entertained you.
