Procrastination or Forgetfulness?

I never realized how dependant on technology I have become until I had to take my laptop into the Geek Squad.  During my laptops absence, I felt lost, something was missing.  Now granted, I had Al’s desktop as a backup….not the same.

My laptop is back, I’m back in business, and I’m feeling whole again.  I need to make some adjustments to settings, desktop icons, etc.  This is also the perfect opportunity to clear and review files, check my blog postings, stats, comments, etc.

Oops….call it procrastination or forgetfulness, I was nominated for a couple of awards awhile ago and failed to acknowledge or accept.  Although I recently did a posting on awards and didn’t intend to do award postings this close to one another, I feel compelled to not hold off.  So here goes……

I was nominated for this award by lovelivingincolorado.  This blog is about “all things Colorado”.   As a recent transplant, she shares her and her husbands adventures as they explore the beautiful state of Colorado.  She posts information on festivals, restaurants, scenic drives, parks, and general musings about life in Colorado.  Definitely check out lovelivingincolorado.  Thank you for the nomination.

The Happy Singleton nominated me for the Reader Appreciation Award…..

This single gal writes from the heart as she shares stories of life, adventure, and picking out a great bottle of wine.  Check her out here and a big shout out to her for nominating me…..thank you!

Onto the Rules;  Since I recently did a similar posting, I’ll keep this one as simple as possible and try not to duplicate.  Therefore, I’ve bunched these two awards together!

  1. Thank and link back to the blogger that nominated you
  2. List seven facts/tidbits about yourself
  3. Recommend and nominate 15 blogs that I follow

Seven things about myself…..

  1. I’m addicted to coffee.  When I was sixteen I spent my summer in Germany visiting relatives.  The German’s have a tradition similar to the English, but instead
English: A photo of a cup of coffee. Esperanto...
English: A photo of a cup of coffee. Esperanto: Taso de kafo. Français : Photo d’une tasse de caffé Español: Taza de café (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

of Tea Time it’s Coffee Time.  Every afternoon around 2 or 3 it’s time for coffee and pastry.  Thus started my relationship with a nice strong cup of hot, black coffee……love of pastry started long before.

  2. Still trying to figure out Social Media.  Have never tweeted.  Don’t understand Pinterest.  Have a Facebook account but don’t use it much.  Will attempt to focus on understanding these platforms better!
  3. Love photography but have never taken a class or even read a ‘how to book’.  Hope to improve and therefore have two books currently on the way from Amazon.  I admire Rick’s talent over at The Great American Landscape.  His photos are inspiring.
  4. Flowers…..flowers of any kind make me happy
  5. I gravitate toward people with a sense of humor. I watch Chelsea Lately every night.
  6. I love camping near water. At one point in life, I dreamt about owning lakefront property.  Now I seek out lakeside RV spots and enjoy the change of scenery.
  7. I look forward to watching my favorite vampires in action on True Blood, but as an animal lover, I’d love to be a ‘shifter’.

Thanks to everyone who stops by and reads my musings  🙂
