Happy Thanksgiving!

Wishing you and yours a wonderful day!scarecrow

Giving Thanks
For the hay and the corn and the wheat that is reaped,
For the labor well done, and the barns that are heaped,
For the sun and the dew and the sweet honeycomb,
For the rose and the song and the harvest brought home —
Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving!

For the trade and the skill and the wealth in our land,
For the cunning and strength of the workingman’s hand,
For the good that our artists and poets have taught,
For the friendship that hope and affection have brought —
Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving!

For the homes that with purest affection are blest,
For the season of plenty and well-deserved rest,
For our country extending from sea unto sea;
The land that is known as the “Land of the Free” —
Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving!

    1. Thanks…..I can envision the aroma and feast that you cooked up. Since there were only 3 of us this year, I cooked my ‘boys’ favorites at their request….pizza and nachos. Now how American is that….lol?

    1. Aw, thanks Donna. Hum, might it be possible to run into each other in the ‘small’ state of Texas in January or February? Wouldn’t that be funny?

      1. It’s…cold! I have become such a wimp since I acclimated to Florida’s sunshine and warmth. But, sooner than later…it will be warm again. šŸ™‚

    1. Thank you, Nancy. I’m sure your day will include a lengthy hike. Don’t you love the weather in the desert southwest? I know, I do šŸ™‚

    1. Thank you. I appreciate the compliment on my photos coming from a talented photographer. I do hope we run into each other someday. Will you be in Colorado anytime this summer?

      1. The talented photographer is actually my husband, Hector. We will probably go to Colorado in the fall, and will spend summer in the northern part of the West Coast somewhere. We’re in New Mexico now, and will be headed to Arizona probably mid-December – will you still be there?
